"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall" (1 Corinthians 10:12).
Many are the ways by which Satan works through human influence to bind his captives. He secures multitudes to himself by attaching them by the silken cords of affection to those who are enemies of the cross of Christ. Whatever this attachment may be-parental, filial, conjugal, or social the effect is the same; the opposers of truth exert their power to control the conscience, and the souls held under their sway have not sufficient courage or independence to obey their own convictions of duty (1MCP 267.2).
Never think just because you're a Christian, you are strong enough to be in just any kind of relationship. While we are called to be kind and loving to everyone, we are not meant to make everyone our close friends or associates. The enemy knows how to trap us in his snares when we allow the wrong influences into our lives.
Satan often uses human relationships and emotional bonds to influence and control individuals, keeping them captive to his deceptions. He targets those we feel emotionally connected to, subtly pressuring us to compromise our faith and convictions. These influences may come from friends, family members, or others we care about deeply.
That's why it's so important to strengthen your relationship with Christ daily. Stay true to Him, even when facing rejection or pressure from others. Make up your mind to follow Christ, not people. In every decision, take a step back, remove yourself from the pressure, and ask Christ to guide you. Remember, your strength comes from God, not yourself.
